In order to deliver a positive, memorable experience, wineries must exceed the guest’s expectations, and this is usually easier said than done. Winery visitors will have varied motivations for visiting, as well as varied levels of wine knowledge, ranging from the curious wine novice to the well-educated expert. Each will have different expectations, and it is advantageous to the winery to deliver a somewhat tailored experience to each type of guest–one size does not fit all in the wine industry.
